Is A Perm really this serious?

I wanted to post this just because I have experienced this first hand with my daughter. My mother thought it was wise to put a kiddie perm in my daughter's hair to make it a better grade.. smh For one I saw nothing wrong with her hair, and for two my mom didn't have to comb her hair anyway. My daughter's hair damage wasn't as severe as this little girl's but it was bad. I did the same as this girl's mother as far as braids are concerned. We did braids with weave for about a year and now we are simply doing braids with her hair since it has grown out. Sometimes we will do ponytails. Parents please think twice before you put a kiddie perm in you daughter's hair.
