Tiny Speaks on life with T.I

I now call her hiphop’s #1 “Ride-or-Die” chick, and that is none other than Tameka “Tiny” Harris! She recently sat down for an interview and photoshoot with VIBE magazine about her life with and without her husband Tip Harris. With her clan in tow, Tiny opened up to VIBE about her life with The King, and though many people have opinions about Tiny’s life and the choices she has made… one thing for sure is that she and her husband love each other and truly have a committed marraige. Whether its drugs, jail or guns…nothing comes between them.
Get the highlights below!
On life without T.I.:
“It’s been like a roller coaster. Tip came home at the end of ’09, around Christmas time last year, and it was about getting the family back together.” But his career demanded attention, and he soon began work on his seventh album, No Mercy, as well as his third movie role [Takers]. “He started going back to work, so we was back to our regular schedule,” she recalls. “And then we got married. That was the high of the year, and then three months later he was gone—back again.”
On the wedding:
After being together for years, Tip and Tiny finally tied the knot last July, months after his release on federal weapons charges. “Jamie Foxx sung me down the aisle, and El DeBarge sung our first song,” Tiny recalls with a smile. Their guest list read like a past and present awards show lineup: Usher, Nelly, Ashanti, Trina, as well as fellow R&B-turned-reality-stars Toya, Monica, and Kandi Burress. “Jermaine Dupri DJ-ed for us; he was a great DJ. The reception was like a big, big party, so I had a ball,” she says with a chuckle. “Everybody was there. Everybody was drunk. Tons and tons of guests came to see us. It was great.”
Tip also recently had beautiful words to say about his wife from prison:
“Can’t say enough about how special of a woman I have. It takes a lot to endure the worst of times and still stay grounded during the best of times. She’s been able to do so for long as I can remember. For all that and more, I just adore her in every way. I love her spirit, her heart, her integrity and her loyalty. She’s the love of my life and the girl of my dreams. I’ve heard so much about it being hard for true love to exist in the fast lanes of Hollywood, when dudes can’t stay respectfully committed and chicks can’t stay out their man’s pockets. But somehow she makes it easy, and we never had those problems.

Some women can’t keep up with their men and other can’t seem to slow theirs down. She’s shown that she can do both in grand fashion. A man like me couldn’t ask for a better match. When the world has turned on me and there is darkness all around, she finds a way to bring light in my life and provide positive energy in the face of some of the most extreme circumstances. As long as we have us, fuck da world….nothing else really matters. I’d lay my life down for her and wouldn’t blink about it. In my eyes, she’s the most beautiful woman inside and out. I wouldn’t trade her for all the sun on the beach. As much as I’ve done wrong in life, I’m convinced that I must’ve done something right to deserve a woman as great as her. And I’ll forever do all I can to continue to show my undying love and appreciation.”

They are definitely my new Bonnie & Clyde! Sorry Jay & Bey! Lol!

Sounds of Marque Valentine's Day Event

I'm not really big on doing a lot for Valtentine's Day because I feel that you should show your woman how much you love her on a daily basis. I know that was neither here nor there but whatever... Going into the event I was not prepared for what I saw once I walked through the doors of Zodiac. The Sounds Of Marque had reduced the club to standing room only. I'm talking wall to wall packed with couples eating, drinking, and enjoying beautiful music. Throughout the night Marque played his saxophone, along with a live band and a back-up singer, to songs like Musiq's "Beautiful," Michael Jackson's "Human Nature," Drakes's "Find Your Love," and sooo many more hits. He straight jammed the entire night! I am a huge supporter of his movement and I was soooo happy to see that it was standing room only. I was happy to see that so many people, after that show, would be recruited to the team as well!
During intermission there were about four poets to share their work with us. The two below would have to be my favs!

Phat Mack talked about love with a very funny twist. He talked about how confusing relationships can be when you don't have trust and security. How simple things can turn into big things when your spouse is "insecure" I thought he was excellent.

Mr. A.T. Chill surprised me.. I'm not going to lie I thought he was a little boy not even old enough to gain entrance into the venue. Yea, that changed as soon as he opened his mouth! The poem that stood out to me was called "Lesson's In Love." This poem was about a lusty type of love(I'm listening to him on youtube as I type this up lol). A type of love that was at an all time high between the hours of 2-5 am. A love that was more sexual than anything. I loved it! whew He is also the author of "Beginner's Luck" a book of his poetry. Check him out!
Check it out below:

New Video: Tity Boi "Lo Boots"

I'm convinced that Tity knows every song on his mixtapes that I love and from those he chooses which ones will have videos. Ok I'm kidding, but every video that he has dropped has been to a song that I looooove. This song happens to be the new anthem for any man running the streets because we all know they love Lo (Polo) boots.......

Lil Boosie's Daughter Is Following In His Steps

So I just had to post this! For one you all know how much I LOOOOOOOOVE Boosie! #freeboosie Secondly, this lil girl has heart and you can hear it in her rhymes... I remember when they were doing his webisodes before he went to jail and she was like "My daddy lives the life, and I want to live the life too," I could see then how much she admired him. All I'm gonna say is watch out for her! She's only like 9 or 10 and she has a mean flow!

Antoine Dodson on The Monique Show

Our favorite Hood Star is back! This time on The Monique Show last night. Now yall know I love me some Antoine Dodson but soooo much went wrong on last night. For instance why in the hell did he wear that damn Bill Cosby sweater? Those chains? All that blingy jewelry? Lawd that wardrobe choice was awful. I hate when he says "It's so fashion" like what oon Earth does that mean? Maybe he's trying to brand that. Anyway check out his interview with Monique and the interview with the Gregory Brothers.
