Necole Bitchie's Law of Attraction Story

Necole Bitchie (R) pictured with B.Scott

I truly believe in the Secret and the laws of attraction. I was introduced to the book towards the end of 2007 and my life has changed drastically because of it. The principles have everything to do with attracting those things that you want in life by: changing your thought process, gratitude for things you already have and believing you will receive the things you want by visualizing them and acting as though you already have them.

I drove 12 hours on Thanksgiving Eve to make sure that I was with my family on Thanksgiving Day. Although I hadn’t seen them in almost 2 years, I stayed in my hometown for less than 5 hours. While there I stopped at everyone’s house and the energy… I can’t explain it but it was bad for me. First, I stopped at a cousins and she was complaining about her kids (she has 3). I stopped at an aunt’s house and she was talking about her bad health. I even stopped at a friend’s house in the DC area and she was constantly talking about how she didn’t know how she was going to pay for this and that (mortgage, school, etc), how she felt like she would never find Mr. Right among other things. I said to her, “look at all you have. you live in a huge home in PG County, you have a nice car, you have your mom and you sister here with you, you have a degree..you are working on your masters. you have so much to be thankful and grateful for but the fact that you are focusing on the things that you do not have versus the things you have…you are blocking your blessings”.

It’s True my life has changed drastically over the past two years…and it isn’t because of a blog. It’s because of my ability to change my thought process. I used to be a complainer. Everytime someone called I had a complaint about something. Nothing was ever right in my life. There were friends of mine who I felt had it all when it came to their careers, family, love life and I envied them because I was too caught up on what they had and what I didn’t to realize my own blessings.

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are, the law of attraction is forming your entire life experience, and this all-powerful law is doing that through your thoughts. You are the one who calls the law of attraction into action, and you do it through your thoughts. – The Secret

For example…My life started changing as soon as i began the practice of thanking God every day for the little things. I didn’t have much but I thanked him for the little things like having a roof over my head (when i was living with an aunt) and food to eat. Then I started visualizing what I wanted.

When I started my website, I visualized where my site would be in a year…and where I wanted to be in my life. After a year had passed, I was there…

When I was driving my dented up hooptie, with no ac, no radio. I would get in it everyday and visualize that I was in my dream car…to the point that I felt as though I was really driving my dream car. I recently was gifted with my dream car..

When I first moved to Atlanta there was some condos I would drive past from time to time and I said “I’m going to live there”. I visualized that I would live there. I knew I couldn’t afford them but I went up in there anyway, and I asked to see the models. Over a time span of a year, I went in every model they had, 1, 2, 3 bedrooms, townhouses, lofts etc and visualized where my furniture would be and how I would set the place up. I eventually moved there..

It reminds me of the concept of “ask and you will receive”. Pray on it and leave it in God’s hands and if it’s suppose to be it’ll be. I live a great life. Today I can look back and say, I’m thankful for those years of sleeping on Friends couches. I’m thankful for packing up and moving from city to city trying to find my destiny. I’m thankful for the tons of bad men I’ve dated because it helps me appreciate the good ones. I’m grateful that God has given me the strength to handle adversity when the people closest to me (my parents and my grandmother) have passed on. I’m grateful for those 1 or 2 bad seeds I’ve met that have disguised themselves as friends only to drag me through the mud as if we were enemies later on. I’m grateful that throughout my journey I have met tons of African American women that have inspired and motivated me to be GREAT! No matter what the circumstance, situation or obstacles presented. Anything less than that is not an option!

With changing the way we think about things, we have to remove “I can’t” from our vocabulary. Yes YOU CAN, there is always a way. I met a realtor this weekend and she wanted to be a fashion designer but felt that she was too old, she didn’t have time, she couldn’t do it because she had kids, etc etc. Her thoughts were too crowded with all the reasons why she wouldn’t be able to be a designer. We can’t focus on the obstacles because it creates fear.

The key to absolute freedom and joy for each and every one of us is to let go of fear. When you understand that fear puts you on a frequency of attracting more fearful events and circumstances into your life, you will understand how important it is to shift yourself. When you focus on things such as being late, getting sick, getting fired etc you are actually summoning those things to you.

I’m starting to ramble now but my main point is this: We have to change our thoughts to focus on what we can and will do. We have to be more positive and thankful for things we already have. Focusing on negative energy will only bring more negative energy your way. In 2010, it’s time for change…

I really enjoyed this article. Necole spoke from her heart and gave some much needed advice.. Ask people and you shall receive.
